Heavenly Father has blessed us throughout his externships this year, and Indiana was no exception. The residents in Evansville were not only members of our Church, but also super nice, as was the nursing staff there. One resident had also gone to OCPM, and his family (the Rileys) were SO nice to invite us to various events and show us the town while we were there. We would have been lost without them!
The head nurse at the hospital was very sweet to recommend to Travis places that our little family could go, and CMOE (the Children's Museum of Evansville) was one of them. They have a monthly free night (sponsored by the hospital), and so we took that chance to check it out. It was a lot of fun!
This was an electrical harp--there were no strings, just lasers. SUPER neat!
Grace girl LOVES cars and will jump in them any chance she gets. :)
There were so many fun things to do! Puzzles:
Coloring and face painting:
And this super cool weather room. It was amazing!
We had a really fun night!
The Rileys were kind enough to invite us to an Easter potluck bbq the Saturday before Easter, which we spent with the other residents and some of their friends at a beautiful park by a lake. We ate, talked, and did an Easter egg hunt for the kids. (I brought my camera, but didn't bust it out. We DID have a great time though!)
On Easter, we opened Easter baskets...
Played with Easter eggs...
Made our traditional resurrection rolls (LOVE this new tradition)...
Went to Church, and then got dressed for a walk along the river.
I love this picture of the two of them running.
Evansville is a really pretty area, with lots of trees and right by the river, and we loved taking the beautiful scenery in. Check back soon for Indiana Part 2!
