Texas Trip Part 2: Temple, TX

On the 19th (Monday), we headed over to Temple, TX to spend most of the week with Brandon and Rachel (another brother and sister-in-law) and their family. It was so nice to see them (after living next to them for 2 years here in Cleveland) and their new house, and crazy to see how much their kids had grown. Thankfully, Rachel kept track on facebook of what we did every day so I can remember and document it too!
So, on Monday we played, had a Papa Murphey's pizza party (we had pizza party's a lot when we used to live next to each other), and the adults watched "The Help" (which Rachel and I had both been dying to see).
Reading books with Grace and Spencer on Monday:
Jenna holding Bethany. It was so cute to see her older girl cousins with her. They were great with her!
On Tuesday, Rachel and I did a little shopping during the day, and that night we ate dinner at one of their friends houses and then went to see a light show called "Nature in Lights" (a 5 mile long light display) at the B.L.O.R.A. It was SO neat, and I took lots of pictures, but here are just a few so you get a feel for how cool it was.

This one was set up with 3 of this elf, so that when each one lit up in turn, it looked like he was unicycling across the tight rope. Cool, huh?!

There was a band-themed section:

And a section of the 12 Days of Christmas; this was the display for the Lord's a Leaping.

There was also a Santa's Oasis section:

In this display, the elf flew through the sky from the canon and into the bag:

Thought this was pretty funny:

Near the end of the display was this long tunnel of lights. SO pretty, and so neat to drive through!

The next day (Wednesday), we played and shopped a little at the mall during the day, and at night played Ticket to Ride and Apples to Apples (again, for old times sake). (Rachel took some great pictures, and you can go to her blog www.brholloway.blogspot.com to see them).
Next up: More of our time in Temple!
