Among the Butterflies

When we were on our honeymoon on Vancouver Island, B.C., we decided to go to the Butterfly Gardens in Victoria, Canada. It was amazing! There were butterflies everywhere...fluttering around and over us, and landing on nearby plants and flowers. It was like being in a fantasy world! It was also a photographers heaven (which was fun for me because photography is a big hobby of mine). And the coolest thing of all was that a few of the butterflies actually landed on Travis! This was especially neat because one of the butterflies, the one with brilliant blue wings, hardly ever lands, and when it does it usually closes its wings, exposing its less-than-attractive brown side. But when it landed on Travis, it left its beautiful blue wings open, and offered me a great photo-op! The gardens were one of my favorite things of the whole trip....highly recommended.
