Our New House!

As Travis told you, we recently moved into our new rental home in Parma, Ohio (near Cleveland). It is a 3 bedroom house, that also includes a kitchen, living room, bathroom, basement, and 1 car garage. WE LOVE IT, and are so excited to be living in our first house as a family!

Here it is! And now I'll begin our tour...

The front of our house:

A side view, leading around to our garage and backyard:

Our backyard (it feels so good to be able to say that!) and garage (which we are super excited to have for storage, and to be able to park our car in in the winter):
Here's another view of the backyard. Our landlords were nice enough to leave their firepit for us, which we are way excited to use for roasting marshmallows and other summer treats!
And moving inside, we have first: the living room (which is just inside the front door):

Now that we have our pictures on the walls, it's starting to really feel like our own home. =)
(Unfortunately, the living room is the only one to have any pictures hung up in it yet, but I wanted to get pictures of the house up now, now that most of our things are unpacked, for everyone to see.)

The doorway that you saw in the above picture leads into the kitchen (which our landlords were SO kind as to recently redo with NEW: paint, base and window boards, countertops, sink, linoleum flooring, and paint and fixtures on the cupboards! Needless to say, we love it!)

We feel so blessed to have so much cupboard and counter space, and to finally have (room for) a dining table and a dishwasher!

Just down the hall from the kitchen are the 3rd bedroom, the bathroom, and Grace's room.
Here is the 3rd bedroom/bonus room:

(FYI: All of the downstairs rooms have also, in the past year or so, gotten an update, with refinished floors, and new paint on the walls and base and window boards. We think they look so nice, and are grateful to our landlords for maintaining such a beautiful home!)

I've thrown a picture of the bathroom in here, just in case you were interested. =)

(I didn't include a picture of Grace's room, since it isn't all set-up and decorated because she isn't living in there yet. As soon as she can sleep through the night though, she can sleep in her own room--an event I'm sure we're all excited for. =) And when that occurs, we'll post pictures of her room.)
(Also not pictured is our bedroom, because it also isn't completed, and the basement, because all it basically is right now is a storage and laundry room. We will post pictures of our room later though, when it is complete, and when you come to visit, you're welcome to see our basement. =) )
So, what's the best part about living in our new home? GREAT NEIGHBORS! We've been so lucky to be able to move right next door to Travis' brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Rachel, and their family! Brandon is also attending podiatry school, and we feel so blessed to be living by family while we're so far away from home, and look forward to spending many more fun times with them while we're here. =)
Here's a picture of our two houses:

Can you believe how close we live to each other!? Neither can we, but we love it!!
Here are me and Rachel, sticking our heads out of our bedroom windows:

And waving to each other =)

Brandon and Rachel have 3 kids, who LOVE Grace and she loves them right back! We're so glad that Grace gets the opportunity to live next to and (eventually) play with her little cousins, just as I did growing up. The kids love telling Grace goodnight and giving her hugs and kisses, and Grace loves listening to them tell her stories and watching them play.
Here is their daughter Jenna joining me upstairs during the photoshoot:

The only bummer about living in our house? Having to take care of all of this space, inside and out...but it's totally worth it! We love having all of this room to live and grow in, and look forward to having this house be our home for the next 4 years as Travis attends school.
And there you have it! Tune in again soon for pictures of Grace and our recent adventures here!

So super duper cute! Thanks for the pictures! I LOVE the color in the kitchen. I'm getting antsy to do something with my kitchen, so it was fun to see the blue. I'm so excited for you guys and glad you all made it there safely!

And we love having you as neighbors. I hope you know that...and I hope you know we like you next door for more than just babysitting. You guys have been such a blessing to us, and we only hope we can repay you in some way.

What a beautiful home! You guys sure lucked out with that one, especially being right next door to family. So cool! I keep wanting to get pictures of our new apartment (we've moved once again...) but it's hard to clean up a room for a picture when you have a munchkin following you around pulling out what you just put away. Just wait--your turn will come. ;-) Good luck with getting settled in!
