Build-A-Bear for the Babies

It's become a tradition in our family to make a Build-A-Bear for each baby that joins our family. The tradition started with my mom making one for Grace, then Grace made one for Bethany, and last Saturday Grace and Bethany made one for each of the twins!

The girls were pretty excited to be there!

The nice worker found some little bear "Santa helper" hats for them to wear:

We picked out matching pink and brown bears, then headed to the stuffing station. Grace pushed the pedal to help stuff the first bear:

The worker told them to press the heart buttons to help stuff the bears with things like "love" and "friendship" for their sisters.

Then Bethany (and Trav) helped stuff bear #2:

Then the girls picked out 2 hearts, 1 for each bear from each of them:

Before putting their hearts inside the bears, the worker told them to rub them over their hearts...

...and to give them a kiss for their sisters...

...then gently place them inside the bears:

After they were stuffed full of fluff and love, the worker "sewed" them up, and we took them over to the grooming station:

Blow-drying and brushing the bears to perfection:

After the bears were sufficiently groomed, we made their birth certificates and had them packaged up to take home.

We can't wait to have the girls give them to their new baby sisters when they come home from the hospital!
